Got stories?

Of course, you have. You’ve put a few hard-earned miles on your tires. How many times have you seen something, lived something, thought something, and said, “I should write about that.” This is your chance to not only write about that “something” but learn to present it with skill in the structure of a compelling story. While working on and polishing your story (or first part of your novel) you will learn by helping others improve their work. Skills learned will include story ideas, research, outlining, character development, plot elements, story pacing, building tension and resolution. The workshop will culminate with a "Polished and Ready for Primetime Party" wherein participants will be given the opportunity to share their work with the class as well as family and friends.

This eight-week workshop, lead by local author Greg Zeigler and open exclusively to patrons ages 55 and older, is part of the Teton County Library's Creative Aging Series, which enables participants to build key formal and critical-thinking skills centering around a particular medium while also facilitating in-depth assessment and positive social engagement.

Registration begins on October 1st at 9:00 AM.

Workshop Dates (All Mondays): 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18, 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29

Workshop Times: 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM
