May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so each Saturday Alta Branch is offering yoga classes with Kari Potter from Greenhouse Yoga Studio. Kari will guide you through gentle yoga and energy medicine practices including acupressure, tapping and sound to help process emotions stored in your body (i.e. fear, depression, anger, anxiety, worry, grief). These self-care techniques cultivate self-acceptance, emotional resilience and intelligence. Together, let's embrace your unique sensitivity and embark on a journey towards emotional well-being and mental health. This class is appropriate for those new to yoga and for those who currently have a yoga practice. Space is limited, registration required for each Saturday class.
Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat and a cushion/or blanket to use for sitting and lying down. There will be extra yoga mats and props available if you do not have them.
Kari Potter is a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Therapist, Sound Healer and owner of Greenhouse Yoga & Energy Arts in Teton Valley. Kari has been studying yoga and healing modalities since 2009. These self-care practices have helped her to heal from trauma, release and process emotions in her body and greatly improve her mental health.
