Throughout the year, The New York Public Library's Teen Banned Book Club is offering free, nationwide digital access to young adult titles that have been the subject of bans or challenges. 

Download the latest title, All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely, on SimplyE now—then join the conversation at virtual book club events and author talks.

Virtual Book Discussion & Author Talk: Wednesday February 21st at 1:00 PM

All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely is available at the Teton County Library, or digitally. New York Public Library is offering free digital access to our current Teen Banned Book Club title through SimplyE, a free e-reader app. SimplyE requires birth year authentication. Readers 13 and older (born before 2011) will be able to borrow and download the book for free anywhere in the United States using SimplyE.

To download the latest title:

  1. Once you have downloaded SimplyE for iOS, tap “Add a Library Later” to head straight to the Books for All collection.
  2. Verify your birth year. (Please note that only patrons born before 2011 will be able to access YA titles.)
  3. Select the latest book club title in the “Banned Book Club” row to download and start reading.
