People Spread Love Meet & Make

The People Spread Love (PSL) Drop Box initiative extends an invitation to community members to participate in acts of kindness and encourages them to express their unique forms of creativity. Participants contribute written words of encouragement and love to other community members who are in need of a positive emotional boost. The box is available by the Community Engagement board and you are welcome to spread kindness and encouragement anytime the library is open. 

To celebrate this collaboration between the Library and People Spread Love, this meet & make event is for community members of all ages to gather together and craft letters of support for others in the dark days of winter. 

The Love Drop Box helps bolster empathy, a quality that benefits from regular exercise. This community initiative has the potential to bring out the best in residents; it can pique curiosity, foster kindness and infuse a sense of positivity. It can also serve as an inspiration for volunteers to engage in further acts of kindness, setting off a chain reaction of goodwill.
