Do you want people to take action to solve a problem? Do you have a perspective that could help your community approach an issue in a new way? Do you have a reflection about the state of the world that you think is missing from the current conversation?
Learn the basics of opinion and commentary writing — from conceptualization to pitching to publication — with WyoFile's deputy managing editor, Tennessee Watson.
Not sure what you want to write about? No problem. All that's required to participate is an open mind and a desire to learn. The skills covered in this workshop also benefit people writing cover letters, college essays and grant applications.
Prior to joining WyoFile and becoming deputy managing editor, Watson was a public radio reporter, documentary maker and media arts educator. Her journalism career was launched at birth, as both of her parents were members of the press.
