Edible Book Festival

Bring the family for our most delicious literary event of the year!

Edible books can look like a book in form and shape, be inspired by a book or author, can be a pun of a book title, can refer to a book character, reproduce a book cover, or just have something to do with books in general. Entries may be made from anything that is edible (cake, bread, crackers, Jell-o, fruit, vegetables, candy, etc.) as long as it can sit out for an hour or two without melting or spoiling.

There are two rules: entries must be edible and they must somehow relate to a book. Prizes will be awarded. Prizes will be awarded for People's Choice, Best Savory, Funniest/Punniest, and Best Book to Belly Adaptation. Registration recommended but not required. Walk-ins may be turned away if registration capacity is reached.
 
Whether you’re a professional chef or a bibliophile that likes to play with your food, the festival is open to everyone in the community. Edible Book Festivals are held around the world in April.

Schedule for the Edible Book Festival on Saturday, April 27, 2024: 

12-2pm – Participants drop off edible entries at intake in the Gallery. 

2-2:15pm –  Public viewing and vote for People's Choice award 

2:15-3pm - Judges welcome, awards, and eating of entries!

After the event, please make sure to bring what remains of your entry with you!
