ALTA Local Author Book Talk: Peter Anderson

Join Teton Valley writer and inveterate wanderer, Peter Anderson, who will discuss his latest novel Viewfinder,  the second installment of the Expatriate Trio, published by Limberlost Press in Boise, Idaho.

Viewfinder is a story which does not fit any simple category. It not strictly thriller, mystery, crime story or travelogue, though it weaves together elements of these genres. Rather, it is a story of people, on their own and as members of a close community, who struggle to reconcile past and present. Throughout the Expatriate Trio, characters of tremendous talent and accomplishment, who have nonetheless fallen to the depths of self-created tragedies and subsequently fled to private exile exile in Europe, strive to salvage nothing less than their own humanity. Though unrelated in plots or characters, each of the Expatriate novels begins with an ending and ends with a beginning — first steps toward personal redemption.
